Catering service.
Staff and equipment.

Tableware, delivery access and a clear handover are part of the meal. Identify what the venue supplies and what still needs to be arranged.

Start with what is already there

List tables, seats, plates, cutlery and glasses with usable quantities. Having a kitchen room does not establish the available work surfaces or refrigeration. Match equipment needs to the menu: a flying buffet needs different bowls and surfaces from a plated dinner.

Who is responsible for each task?

Separate delivery, setup, food serving, drinks service, clearing and equipment return. Delivery does not automatically include on-site staffing. Assign a responsible person and time to each task. Delta Catering confirms equipment and staff in the individual proposal; this page is not a rental catalogue or a promise of stock.

From the vehicle to the last glass

Describe the unloading point, entrance, steps, lift and route to the event room. Planning does not end with the last dish: agree return transport, cleaning, potential breakage charges and collection times too. At hired venues, these times must match their access rules.

THE PRACTICAL DETAILS

Who supplies what? Agree it before setup.

A short responsibility matrix prevents gaps between the venue, organiser and catering. Assign one responsible party to each item.

The essentials for planning your catering.

All questions & answers
What should I tell the caterer about the venue kitchen?

Describe appliances, work surfaces, refrigeration, water and usable power sockets. Photos and the venue’s permission to use the facilities help. Calling a room a kitchen does not establish which dishes can be plated or finished there.

Who collects tableware and catering equipment afterwards?

Assign collection for each supplied item. Agree the collection window, holding area and condition for returns. With several suppliers, clarify who counts, cleans and transports each type of equipment.
